may there be merriment in you bewilderment 
to this chaos sing a love song 
for the trickster he has come for tea
i suggest you put the kettle on 

the clarity it’s coming
but just let trickster be
he’s realigning the not quite right 
and a friend he is to me 

he’ll make you feel you’ve lost your mind
and i’m happy that he can 
i hope his tactics make you laugh
he’s here to lend a hand

others will say don’t trust him
but i won’t push him out
the closer he is to me
the less he needs to shout 

i find him entertaining 
he’s quick witted and devil grinned
i like the way he dances 
and summons change upon the wind

why not flirt with him a little?
for life it is to short
sometimes he makes me swoon and blush 
watching a master at work is hot 

his energy need not be cleared 
though his approach it is uncouth 
he’s come to shake the dust off
nothing bad has been let loose

let him go do his thing
and just watch on in awe
he’s really kinda talented
